Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe
Our staff meets you at the airport, transferring you to a lakeside hotel for a restful night.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi
Fly to Kihihi and drive into Bwindi. Evening briefing about gorillas.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
The forest trek culminates in your first encounter with mountain gorillas.
Day 4: Gorilla Habituation Experience
Unlike regular treks, this day allows you four hours with a gorilla family, observing behaviors and
even learning research techniques.
Day 5: Golden Monkey Trek & Volcano Hike
At Mgahinga National Park, you spend the morning with golden monkeys. In the afternoon, hike one
of the Virunga volcanoes for sweeping views of Uganda, Rwanda, and DRC.
Day 6: Ishasha – Tree-Climbing Lions
Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP, Ishasha sector. Here, lions lounge lazily in fig trees, a rare sight.
Day 7: Game Drives & Kazinga Channel Cruise
Morning safari drive: elephants, buffalo, kob, and hippos. Afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga
Channel, teeming with birds and crocodiles.
Day 8: Kibale Forest Chimp Trek
Optional transfer to Kibale for chimpanzee trekking. Listen to their pant-hoots echo through the jungle.
Day 9: Lake Bunyonyi Adventure
Return south to Lake Bunyonyi. Activities include ziplining, canoeing, and a homestay dinner with a
local family.
Day 10: Return Journey
Your final day is spent reflecting on the wide spectrum of experiences—gorillas, lions, chimps, lakes, and culture.
